We will work together sketching out our illustration design(s) on paper and
transfer the design on to fabric and work with canting tools using a traditional hot wax resist method which acts like a barrier to the colour dyes added.
The colour applied will remain on the fabric whilst the remaining non - waxed fabric absorbs the dye. And  you end up with a beautiful image!
You could bring a plain white cotton tea shirt to dye - Primark is a good cheap source for  these.

We are having a bit of a rest in August as we expect you will be on holiday and out at the beach enjoying the summer.

We still have a few weekend workshops on and all our weekday sessions run throughout the summer.

A fantastic new programme of classes, courses and workshops is being developed for Sept.

I will be developing a new website and a streamlined booking system to make booking with Artisan much easier and I will be having a bit of a rest too, some camping, sailing and maybe catching up on some gardening and housework.

Artisan wishes you a lazy hot summer with lots of beach, BBQ's, music, friends and family!! Enjoy!!!
